From its earliest days as a principal
employer and pioneer in the coal mining industry,
LCN has been a contributor to the prosperity of
the Panther Valley.
Today, LCN continues its legacy by revitalizing
the coal mining process, making its property safe
and secure and contributing to the well-being

- No. 9 Miners Museum, the site of a donated
Lehigh Coal & Navigation mine where the
history, heritage and tradition of coal mining
is preserved for generations of local and regional
visitors
- the Mother Jones Public Park built on LCN
land to provide a recreational facility for
the residents of Coaldale
- access to LCN land by the Borough of Coaldale
for maintenance and road cleanup
- an agreement with the Borough of Coaldale
to enhance and expand its Police Department
with a goal of providing heightened security
on the LCN site leading to an improved level
of safety and well-being for the people of the
community
- land access for St. Luke's Miners Memorial
